Getting to Busselton from Perth, Sydney or Melbourne
Busselton has its own airport, with direct flights to and from Melbourne and Sydney. The nearest capital city airport is in Perth, which is 230km away. Regular coach (bus) services run between Busselton and Perth, with car hire also available at Busselton Airport.
If you're flying into Perth, we recommend hiring a car at Perth Airport and driving to Busselton. Busselton is approximately 220km south of Perth. People generally drive to Busselton using the Kwinana Freeway, which turns into the Forrest Highway. You can get from Perth to Busselton using one road and the journey takes about 2½ hours.
If you're visiting Busselton from interstate or overseas, we recommend hiring a car. There is also public transport available as well as taxi and Uber services.
The most popular time to visit is during the summer months of December to February. Temperatures range between 20-30°C (68-86°F). The weather is perfect for enjoying Busselton beaches.
